The National Integrity Systems Country Study Addendum 2012 was launced on 25th October 2012 in the European Parliament Offices, Dublin. We also hosted two panel discussions on the theme Learning our Lessons - How Can We Stop Corruption? CEO John Devitt made opening remarks and the keynote address was delivered by Minister of State Mr Brian Hayes. Researcher Nuala Haughey presented the key findings of the study. Two panel discussions followed with participants including Mr John McGuinness TD, chair of Committee of Public Accounts; Michael Smith, editor Village Magazine; Imelda Higgins BL, barrister and advisor to the Mahon Tribunal; and Prof Shane Kilcommins, professor of law, University College Cork. The first panel discussion was themed: Corruption-proofing: how do we safeguard against future crises? The topic for the second panel discussion was: Ending impunity: how do we call people to account?
