An article by TI Ireland’s Head of Policy and Research, Alexander Chance, has been published by the Azure Forum for Contemporary Security Strategy entitled ‘‘Follow the money’ … But how far? Tackling transnational illicit financial flows through Ireland’. The article, which is published in the Azure Forum’s ‘Strategic Insights’ series, contrasts Ireland’s legacy of tenacious and innovative approaches to tackling domestic criminal finance against the lackadaisical response to illicit financial flows from overseas – flows which are likely to have grown in parallel with the country’s role as an international financial centre.
