Internship Opportunity: Administration Executive

Transparency International (TI) Ireland engages volunteers in communications functions, as team contributors to the SpeakUp Helpline, in working groups and expert panels. These volunteer positions range from full-time internships, part-time volunteering to task-base remote working.

The purpose of this position is to support the chief executive in running a busy small NGO office and offering support to the coordination of a growing team of volunteers. Candidates should have some office administration experience.

The role encompasses the following general tasks:

  • Management of the TI Ireland membership database
  • Bookkeeping
  • Office administration tasks
  • Recruitment, induction and continuing training of volunteers
  • Support to the chief executive in managing volunteers
  • Maintainance of volunteer management systems and databases

The successful intern candidate will have:

  • Relevant degree or profession qualification
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Experience of office administration preferable
  • Excellent people skills and team work
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills
  • An aptitude with information technologies
  • Familiarity with book-keeping principles a distinct advantage

The offered term is 6 months following a successful 3-week probation period. The role is a four-day week Monday to Thursday 10 am to 6 pm, and requires flexible working hours. This role is a FÁS Internship position, qualifying for allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment - subject to criteria.
